A special "thank you" to Matt and Makaylia Crabtree with Nomad's Animal Encounters for bringing their coyote pups, Wylie and Mylie, for the students to observe and learn about. The students loved getting to start the coyotes howling!
We would also like to thank the Muscogee Creek Nation for their Jump Rope Demonstration. The students enjoyed the demo and got to show off the skills they learned.

We're having a blast at the Summer Reading Fitness Program! On Day 2, students stamped their passport after they learned many things about the town of Stillwater. In addition to fun reading and fitness activities, students created their own peanut butter, honey, and cereal bar. Most agreed they would love to make this again! Next Tuesday, they will "visit" Robber's Cave in Wilburton. On Wednesday, our final destination is Shawnee with a field trip that includes a stop at the new KidSpace Park.

A special thank you to Sheri Ripley and Diann Herrmann with the Oklahoma State Dept. of Health for their assistance in helping us with the grant for the Summer Reading Fitness Program. Day 1 was a success with 32 students attending.

Strother Schools is currently taking applications for a HS Football coach with teaching field open. Interested parties may contact Superintendent Mike Hedge at m.hedge@strother.k12.ok.us
